Wedding season is in full swing – kick-started by the royal nuptials – and what a wonderful time of year to tie the knot. The sun is shining – hopefully – flowers are in full bloom, and there’s a whole host of summery themes to be inspired by.

Nonsuch Mansion
Nonsuch is set within 200 beautiful acres of parkland which is just perfect for those sunset photos. The mansion itself is within its own private walled garden full of gorgeous flowers with feature 15-meter-long rose arch and an entire wall of wisteria.
Visionary architect Jeffrey Wyatt designed the wonderful Tudor Gothic-style exterior, he wanted the mansion to echo Henry VIII’s legendary Nonsuch Palace (Henry wanted no-such palace like it… a one of a kind!) – the striking parapets can be seen for miles.
Ceremonies take place in the Orchid Room which is bathed in natural light from tall, arch-topped bay windows which look out onto the lawns. The room is full of amazing period features such as golden chandeliers, long panel mirrors, Medieval-style motifs and stained-glass windows. It can host up to 120 loved ones to watch the vows, wedding breakfast and reception.
Drinks receptions usually take place outside on the formal lawns, and if the weather is horrendous parties can move into the Rose Room, which is flooded with sunlight from three full-length Georgian sash-windows – a fire can be lit in winter months to keep it cosy. This room can also be used for nuptials of up to 80 friends and family and features a striking Medieval-style fireplace bearing the motto ‘Hora E Sempre’ – Now and Forever – which is a perfect motto in a wedding venue.
Couples choosing this gorgeous big-day venue also benefit from bespoke wedding planning throughout and a free menu tasting.
