Wedding season is in full swing – kick-started by the royal nuptials – and what a wonderful time of year to tie the knot. The sun is shining – hopefully – flowers are in full bloom, and there’s a whole host of summery themes to be inspired by.

Barnett Hill
Nestled within an immaculately manicured 26-acre estate, Barnett Hill’s Grade II listed features include the original 20th-century sash windows and the historic tea house, summer house and greenhouse and the grand staircase is a defining feature of the hotel. As guests head up the gated entrance and driveway towards the hotel, visitors are able to witness Barnett Hill in all its grandeur – complemented by a spectacular view of the Surrey Hills.
This elegant Queen Anne-style mansion dates back to 1905 and was lovingly refurbished in 2016. Many of the original features and fireplaces still remain and make up the cosy and stylish interior.
Couples can exchange their vows in the Drawing Room, with up to 70 guests, or The Oak Room with up to 80 loved ones. A ceremony suite featuring wood panelling and an original fireplace, the Drawing Room also features direct access to the terrace which leads to the gardens.
Receptions take place in the Garden Suite (80 day guests and 120 evening guests); newly refurbished it has an abundance of natural daylight with views across the gardens. Neutral decoration and an original fireplace make up the aesthetics of this classically styled suite.
