Can you believe it’s that time of year again? After everything we’ve all been through in the last two years, I think we all deserve to relax and what better time than Christmas/New Year? This festive season feels strange to me as it’s my last as a Miss. I’m getting married in July 2022, and the countdown is officially on. Everything is booked and I’m starting to get excited and nervous about the idea of walking down the aisle. I love writing about your weddings and sharing your stories with our wonderful region, and it’s given me some great ideas for my own big day and is helping keep my nerves in check!
The December/January issue has always been my favourite, and we’ve gone all out to create an issue full of inspirational weddings, venue styling ideas, the latest flowers and gorgeous venues.

Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa
Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa was originally a 16th-century Tudor house that perfectly combines old-world charm with modern elegance. The award-winning property has plenty of places for couples to explore and take photographs, including the 22 acres of rural countryside. This hidden gem rests on the borders of Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex and is easily accessible from main roads.
There are several wedding spaces available at Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa. The largest is the Ivory Suite, a grand space with an impressive sky-view lantern roof, exposed beams and room for 150 friends and family for the meal and 250 in the evening.
Alternatively, the Hampton Suite boasts high ceilings, exposed bricks, a neutral décor and space for 80 loved ones.
The Old Room is ideal for intimate nuptials, with oak-panelled walls, a decorative fireplace and room for 30 nearest and dearest.
Outdoor weddings are held in the gazebo or in the beautiful meadow.

Events by Inspire sadly closed down in 2020 but is back bigger than ever with a relaunch event on 30th January, 2022, at the beautiful Oaks Golf Club from 11am-3pm. You'll get the chance to meet the new company director Kiara Prescod. She tells us: "Being a wedding supplier myself, I know how beneficial wedding fairs are to the newly-engaged couples, wedding suppliers and venues. Our core ethos is to provide our couples with everything they need to plan their special day at their fingertips. I have both drive and ambition and will be hosting quality fairs throughout the year in Surrey and surrounding areas. We welcome you with open arms to our fairs with free admission and goody bag on arrival."
