June/July 2020

It’s no surprise that so many couples choose to say ‘I do’ to summer nuptials. It’s the time of year that we all feel happier, healthier and more relaxed, so what could be better than celebrating in the sun?

The season is full of beautiful hues and al fresco celebrations so to help inspire you we’ve put together an issue bursting with inspiration. We have three real weddings starting on page 39, an explosion of colour in our fashion pages on page 74 and two stunning shoots starting on page 67. If you love bold and bright blooms, then you’ll also adore our flowers feature on page 57.

We’re always looking for wedding and shoots to feature in the magazine, so make sure you submit your wedding at – www.yoursurrey.wedding/get-involved-real-wedding

De Vere Seldon Estate

Originally known as The Mansion on the Hill, the De Vere Seldon Estate is a historic property that dates back to Saxon times. Located within 204 acres of breathtaking gardens, the venue has recently been refurbished and is full of rich character. Boasting a 500-year old Cedar tree planted by Queen Elizabeth I, De Vere Seldon Estate has a multitude of places in which to take photographs, including the grand staircase, stained-glass window and grounds.

There’s also an on-site championship 18-hole par 73 golf course that takes around four-and-a-half hours to complete when walking.

Couples can tie the knot in the Selsdon Suite. This traditional space houses authentic bay windows and can accommodate 70 loved ones for the vows.

The Secret Garden is also available, with space for 150 friends and family for the ceremony. Alternatively, The Sanderson Suite can hold 120 nearest and dearest for the service.

Receptions take place in the Terrace Suite. It has sloped ceilings, structured pillars and traditional wood-panelling throughout and is capable of holding 160 guests for the wedding breakfast and 200 for the evening celebration.

The Cedar Suite can also be used. This newly-refurbished area has a modern décor throughout, large windows overlooking the Cedar tree, with room for 150 sit down guests for the meal and 200 for the party.

Newlyweds will receive a menu tasting and use of the honeymoon suite on the night of the wedding.
