"Here are my top tips for booking a photographer:
Style
Do you like their style and approach to photography? Some photographers prefer to take relaxed, documentary pictures that are captured in an unobtrusive manner, with limited group and posed shots. Alternatively, a more traditional style will include lots of posed snaps. Work out what feels right for you and fits the vibe of your big day.
Portfolio
Look at full wedding galleries, these will give you a feel for the consistency of their work. If you’re getting married in a barn or in the winter, ask to see similar nuptials.
Personality
Your photographer will be with you most of the day, from bridal prep right through to your first dance. It’s important that they blend in with your guests, and you feel relaxed around them.
Price
If your chosen supplier ticks all your boxes but are slightly out of budget, then I suggest you save money in other areas and pay that bit extra. Your pictures will be the only memory you have to look back on for generations to come, so it’s important they look great."
