How long have you been in the industry? I’ve been a florist for 14 years, focusing predominately on weddings.

What’s your favourite flower? It’s hard to narrow it down to just one. My top five would be peonies, hydrangeas, roses, dahlias and lilacs. Having said this, I think each season brings a new appreciation for all the different options available.

What do you love most about your job? There’s nothing better than seeing my clients’ faces when everything comes together after months of hard work and planning. It’s a pleasure to be involved in their special day and help them create their dream wedding. For me, it’s a privilege to be able to work with such beautiful things and use them as a creative vehicle.

Which bouquet have you loved the most and why? It’s very difficult to choose a favourite as I love different things about each one, whether it’s using blooms that I haven’t for a while, the style or hues.
Working throughout the year, I have an appreciation for every season. Spring has colourful or even colour clashing posies, summer has an abundance of flowers to choose from, and autumn/winter is where foliage and texture take centre stage. It’s hard not to love and appreciate them all.

Best tip for choosing your wedding flowers? Think about the season you’re getting married in and use flowers that are easily accessible. This will give you a good variety to choose from, and the finished result will be at its best.
Incorporate flowers from your bouquet throughout the rest of your décor to create a coherent look.
