The Curated Kitchen specialises in luxurious feasts, grazing tables, and afternoon tea for informal weddings and events in Surrey and the surrounding areas, and is celebrating the launch of its new website.

The Curated Kitchen takes the grazing trend for 2019 one step further, with the launch of a luxurious alternative to formal wedding catering:

Relaxed – abundant – laid-back luxury

With requests for grazing tables and sharing platters on the up and experiential weddings set to be a key trend for 2019, The Curated Kitchen launches in February with an alternative to formal catering that doesn't compromise on taste, style, quality or service with a focus on beautiful homemade elements and carefully curated, locally sourced, organic and homegrown produce.

Creative director Dani May-McCallum says: “The ethos of the company is simple, to celebrate the simple pleasure of delicious food by creating warm, sociable dining experiences of sheer indulgence. Responsibly sourced ingredients, new creative recipes alongside re-imagined favourites, all beautifully presented on a simple, clean, decorative setting with an heirloom twist to create a timeless elegance.

"Our heaving tables are the perfect antidote to the more traditional and rather predictable, 3-course wedding breakfast. It's not an alternative - we think of it as a revelation.”

From showstoppingly abundant grazing feasts that run the length of long tables, to interactive food stations that cater to every dietary need, to decadent homemade afternoon teas. Flexible and simple, it's about stripping away the unnecessary formality of traditional event catering, and inspiring your guests to feast with abandon in a stylish atmosphere of laid-back luxury.
After falling in love with the relaxed Italian style of dining at her own wedding in Tuscany, and following the success of her Afternoon Tea catering business, Dani founded The Curated Kitchen to bring memorable family celebrations, reminiscent of evocative Italian weddings, to celebrations here in Southern England.

Dani says: “The truly imaginative grazing trend has continued into 2019 but couples are looking for more than just a formulaic food styling service, and that's where The Curated Kitchen comes in.
"On my tables you'll find plenty of homemade and hand crafted treats, as well as the more typical grazing fare. Local and speciality cheeses such as creamy Norbury Blue and Sussex Charmer, alongside homemade chutneys and relishes (think sticky fig relish), served with salty cured meats surrounded by handcrafted quiches and towering pies, artisan breads, homemade slaws and fresh organic fruit and salads - often sourced from our own gardens. All dressed with dainty homegrown, organic edible flowers.
"This is all complimented by our beautifully finished, homemade sweet treats, puddings and burgeoning afternoon teas - smooth and silky organic bergamot lemon syllabub, with homegrown raspberries, proved a favourite in 2018. With sustainability at the forefront of our minds you won't find throw away items either, plus everything just tastes better when served on fine serveware! Combine all this with the full service management that you would expect from a traditional caterer and you have The Curated Kitchen Experience.”

A recent client wrote:
"Dani was the only caterer that really understood our desire for a menu that was sustainable and we were thrilled with her suggestions and everything that she brought to the table. We particularly loved that the majority of the food was homemade (some even homegrown!). It was all deliciously beautiful and played a huge part in our day” - Amy and Guy Wilson.
