Dapper & Suave has launched a new gift range

Dapper & Suave in Dorking create fun and quirky accessories from pocket squares, bow ties and cravats to hair accessories and more. The owners, Rob and Jason, tell us more about their company and its new offerings: "We established our business in 2015, blogging about mixing vintage with high street fashion. Our best friend spotted a photo of us on social media and commented on how dapper and suave we looked, and so our brand name was born. We enjoy helping grooms-to-be find their style and have learned from talking to our customers that there is a scale of confidence from a small quirky accessory to full-on 'peacocking'. Our only rule is that we don't do plain designs as colour and pattern are what drive our brand. We have created everything from a bow tie for a newborn baby to peacock feather hair clips inspired by our lapel accessories.

Stylish advice for grooms, fathers-of-the-bride and ushers

Choosing your wedding dress is only part of the story when it comes to styling your big day. In order to achieve a coordinated look, it's important to think about what the men who make up the wedding party will be wearing. What you choose will ultimately come down to the style of wedding you're planning, the location and of course the time of year. Here Cliff Bashforth, MD of Colour Me Beautiful shares with us his advice on how to ensure that they not only look the part but feel comfortable too. Do not overlook the men who will be at your wedding. What they choose, or you tell them, to wear must complement what you are wearing and be consistent with the rest of the bridal party. A little guidance on colour and fit will ensure that they, too, look the part and feel comfortable.

3 months for your father-in-law to like you!

A new survey, conducted by greetings card marketplace, thortful.com, has looked to reveal the time it takes father-in-laws to approve of their son/daughter's partner, revealing that the average amount of time is three months. The study quizzed 1,000 father-in-laws across the UK on how long it takes for them to approve of their son-in-law, as well as the attributes that are most important to them. It was found that a quarter of father-in-laws (25%) said they actually approved of their son/daughter partner from the first moment they met them, with just less than one in 10 (9%) taking 7 months or longer to approve.

Scotland to run out of kilts this summer as wedding bookings soar

Scotland could run out of kilts this summer with many suppliers already closing their books due to record demand. With two years of delayed weddings now able to go ahead, along with this year's planned ceremonies, the iconic ceremonial dress is in short supply meaning the unthinkable could happen; Scotland may actually run out of kilts! David Dalrymple of A1 Kilt Hire said, "We have never seen such a high level of demand for kilt hire. The pandemic has created a record number of wedding bookings for the summer; some people have been waiting since early 2020 to tie the knot, there's also those people who cancelled in 2021 plus couples who had always planned to get married in 2022 all trying to secure a kilt for their big day. Everyone needs one at the same time and although we've managed to accommodate all requests so far, others have already reached their capacity for the whole summer."

Top suit trends for the groom by tailoring specialists Pritchards

With more than 185 years of tailoring experience, Pritchards Menswear has worked through the decades supporting groomsmen in looking and feeling their best on their wedding day. With each passing year - and each passing wedding season - the team have had the pleasure and excitement of navigating both the nuanced and bold changes in fashion, as well as the shifts in wedding tradition that have made space for further expressionism and creativity in the age-old art of tailoring.Edward Pritchard, owner of Pritchards Menswear says, "While shifts in fashion and societal trends naturally occur over time, the last two years have dramatically challenged many of the traditional aspects of weddings, be it the size, the location, or the level of formality involved. With many cancelling, rescheduling, or downsizing their wedding celebrations, society has seemingly embraced the smaller, the hyper-personal, and the bespoke in a new and exciting way.
