Meet Annabel Grange of Butterflies & Bows
How long have you been in the industry? I’ve been a florist since 2004.
What’s your favourite flower? I adore peonies. They’re a beautiful and voluminous flower that lend themselves well to most arrangements. My second favourite would be roses as there are lots of different types available in a variety of colours.
What do you love most about your job? Creating posies and styling venues to match the bride and groom’s wishes. Seeing their day come together with the theme and colours flowing through every aspect is a wonderful feeling.
Which bouquet have you loved the most and why? I love the sophistication and beauty of a shower bouquet made using red roses and greenery.
Best tip for choosing your wedding flowers? Choose options that are in season so that the quality and price are good. Think about where you’re going to place them as some blooms don’t like to be in and out of water for any length of time and may end up wilting. Discuss the options with your florist carefully.
You could use different flowers for your centrepieces and bouquet but in the same colours. Mixing lower cost options with more expensive versions like orchids can help reduce the overall cost.
