We ask Maxine Cole from Chair Cover Dreams how to style a country house

We ask Maxine Cole from Chair Cover Dreams how to style a country house: Image 1

"Country houses are Grade II listed and have been lovingly restored to offer you a breathtaking place to celebrate. Most have secluded gardens that will provide you with plenty of space for your guests to mingle.

“Most venues will have oak beams, limestone floors and large windows that will provide lots of natural light.

“Drape fairylights in the dance area.

“Place fresh flowers in the entrance to the ceremony and reception room.

“Lanterns with lots of lush green and silver foliage wrapped around staircases will look stunning in your photographs.

“I always find that creams, blushes and pastels work well together and complement the existing décor.

“Look for pastel backdrops with rose gold and copper tones.”
