Guests will be impressed as they drive across the cobbled bridge and look up at the mighty venue towering over them. The property is gorgeously lit at night with 17th-century charm during the day. Inside, is wooden beams, antique chairs and two licensed rooms perfect for weddings of all sizes.
Celebrate in style
Ceremonies can take place in The Cygnet Suite. Made up of four event spaces, this suite includes a licensed ceremony room, dining room, bar and mezzanine. The exposed wooden beams and mismatched furniture create a relaxed and rustic atmosphere, perfect for photographs. This self-contained area can be transformed throughout the day to suit the couple’s needs and can hold 72 guests for the ceremony, 65 in the dining room for the wedding breakfast, plus the additional mezzanine can be used for up to 35 loved ones. After the meal, the room is broken down to create a dancefloor for everyone to dance the night away.
Alternatively, the Cromwell Room can be used. The space is ironically named after Oliver Cromwell’s troops who burnt down the original mill before it was rebuilt in 1648. It has distinct rustic furniture and working Inglenook fireplaces, making it a beautifully cosy setting for an intimate event. It’s capable of holding 28 friends and family for the vows and 32 seated guests and 50 standing when combined with the Snug. After the service, loved ones can venture to the orchards or the Snug while the room is turned around.
The venue offers a complimentary bottle of prosecco on the happy couple’s first-anniversary meal.
