Woodlands Park Hotel is situated within eight acres of landscaped gardens and is just 20 miles from Central London. Built in 1885 the Gothic style venue has black timber framing across pitched roofs contrasting the rich stonework and tall stately chimneys. Intricate Victorian detailing highlights the fine workmanship and design used to build this Grade II listed mansion house, which counted King Edward VII as a regular guest.
Entering through the spacious Grand Hall, guests are greeted by rich oak-panelling, fine oil paintings and a grand feature fireplace. Chandeliers hang overhead, beneath a vaulted ceiling with ornate stained-glass windows, which allow for plenty of natural daylight. While the main hotel is full of history and character, the majority of bedrooms benefit from a more contemporary design will modern comforts, such as air-conditioning and luxury beds.
There are several spaces available for weddings, including the Oak Room. This beautiful space is furnished with original oak-panelling, stained glass windows and a magnificent fireplace and has space for 70 guests for the ceremony.
The Prince of Wales Suite is the largest and boasts glass-panelled doors that lead out onto a private terrace with room for 150 loved ones throughout the day.
Alternatively, the Cornwall Suite can be used. Overlooking the private gardens with a wall of windows, this light and airy room also leads out onto a terrace and can accommodate 100 friends and family for the service and 70 for the reception.
The Grand Hall is ideal for those looking for a grand space. It’s only available in the venue’s Exclusive Use Package and can hold 100 nearest and dearest for the vows.
