Q – I’ve chosen a plain dress and would like to add some glamour through my accessories. Do you have any suggestions?
"If you’ve selected a minimalistic gown, then your options are limitless.
"Long bridal veils can create a dramatic look. If you’re wearing soft chiffon, milky satin or a glamorous silk dress without any patterns in the fabric, then choosing a veil should be easy. Look for intricate lace or options that are adorned with crystals, pearls or butterflies. The only time I’d avoid a long veil, is if you’re having a winter wedding when the chances of dry weather are very slim.
"Flower headbands are an easy way of creating a chic, romantic look. You could choose tones that match your dress or go for a completely different style. Dark, dramatic flowers that fit in with your theme or other accessories would also look great. At Inna Walker Headpieces, we hand-dye our fabrics to create silky headbands for our brides.
"Feather hair accessories are very stylish and a great way of showing your individuality. Look for a feather explosion or oversized feather flower that can be added to your hair.
"If none of the above takes your fancy, you could always go for a small crystal headband, hair comb or pearl hairpins. A simple dress is, after all, a style in its own way, so how you complement it is entirely your choice."
