Families looking for a fun-filled countryside retreat can immerse themselves in an award-winning experience at Foxhills Club & Resort after the venue was named ‘Best for Families’ at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence.

Recognised by discerning readers and travel professionals alike, the finalists and winners were determined by responses from online voting, guest feedback and local expert reports.

With its own soft play area, a crèche, a games room and many family suites among its 66 bedrooms, Foxhills have invested substantially to ensure the venue is the perfect staycation option. The extensive leisure facilities mean the whole family can be entertained with more than 200 timetabled activities each week.

The jam-packed schedule of activities includes everything from sports, fitness classes and arts and crafts, to adventure clubs in the resort’s woodland area. A recently opened £7 million building dedicated to families, The Pavilion is also home to an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and family restaurant, Flo’s, while guests can also enjoy three golf courses, including a nine-hole par-three layout, a driving range and short-game Practice Den, as well as 11 tennis courts.

The award also marks the second year in a row that Foxhills has been recognised in the prestigious showpiece after being presented with the ‘Best Immersive Experience’ award last year.

Tej Walia, Foxhill's general manager, said: “We are hugely honoured to win such a prestigious award, particularly one highlighting how great our resort is for families following our continued investment and commitment to providing the best possible experience for all ages.

“As a family-owned club, we pride ourselves on being a resort that is ideal for the whole family to visit, a memorable staycation destination where they can escape to the Surrey countryside and enjoy an array of leisure facilities and activities.

“It is great to once again be recognised by Condé Nast Johansens. It remains the most comprehensive reference to independently owned hotels inspected annually and any recommendation they make, you can trust will be worth a visit.”
