January sample sale gown available at May & Grace

2024 has arrived, which can only mean one thing! May & Grace has its biannual sample sale just in time for wedding season. So, if you haven't found your dream dress yet and you are getting married in 2024, this event is for you. Some couture gowns have even been added with huge discounts!

Call 01428 288012 to secure your place for THIS WEEKEND, 26th - 28th January 2024

All future brides are invited to come and find their dream wedding gown at May & Grace. The boutique will be offering amazing discounts over three full days, with up to 80 per cent off a huge range of international top designers - this is not an occasion you want to miss! Get yourself a slice of couture at a fraction of the price. Past and present collections of dresses, veils, shoes and accessories are available for you to take home on the day.

If you've never tried on a wedding dress before and are not looking to purchase on the day, please do not book an appointment for this event. Sample sales are very busy and unfortunately the team cannot offer you the time that you need to try on a variety of styles. Instead, they highly recommend you book one of their private bridal appointments with one of the stylists, where you can try on a variety of dresses and narrow down your choices to help you find 'the one'!

Samples range from a UK size 8 - 18, and dresses can be altered down by two sizes by the boutique's personal seamstress.  There will be a first come, first served system and a full range of sizes throughout the event can't be guaranteed - so get booking!

Your sample sale appointment is for one hour in your private suite ensuring you find what you are looking for and leave with a dress in hand happy and excited for your big day. This appointment is quite quick so please come prepared with dresses in mind. Sample sale appointments are charged at £10.

For this sample sale you'll be shown a preview of what will be included in the sale, the dresses will all be added to the website under the take away today section as well as in highlights on the May & Grace Instagram page. However as stock is changing on a weekly basis there will also be items added nearer to the event. If you're after a particular style or designer, or you have seen your dress on the website, it's recommended that you email the team at info@mayandgrace.com who will be happy to help. Prices at the event may change and for the first time there'll  be a 'make me an offer' on some of the gowns.

You'll be able to hold items for a non-refundable fee of £150, this means it will be taken off the shop floor and held for seven days from your appointment date. Within that time you'll either have to go back and re-try the dress, make the full payment and take the dress away, or decide that actually the dress isn't for you and lose the holding fee.

Please go with just one guest to your sample sale appointment, the boutique is small and intimate and is therefore unable to accommodate more than the bride and their one star guest. It's also requested that brides not wear fake tan or heavy make-up.

Sample Sale appointments are charged at £10

Sales like this don't come around often so make sure you get booked in straight away by calling 01428 288012 or filling in an appointment form or simply emailing info@mayandgrace.com

Why wedding guests are dressing with more personality

Why wedding guests are dressing with more personality

Wedding style is becoming less about rigid rules and more about individuality. While couples have long used their wedding day to express who they are, guests, parents and members of the wedding party are increasingly doing the same through colour, pattern and carefully chosen accessories. For Surrey-based accessories brand Dapper & Suave, the most memorable wedding outfits are not necessarily the most traditional. They are the ones that allow the wearer to feel polished, confident and recognisably themselves. The brand's latest campaign brings together three distinctive looks, each styled differently but connected through expressive accessories. A cravat adds softness and pattern to a textured jacket, a cravat and pocket square bring individuality to a contemporary three-piece suit, while a bow tie and feather lapel pin introduce colour and character to a classic blazer.

The British Wedding Tradition Most Guests Never Question

The British Wedding Tradition Most Guests Never Question

Most wedding guests have heard the phrase "wedding breakfast", but very few stop to question it. After all, the meal is rarely served in the morning. It usually comes after the ceremony, often in the afternoon, and can involve anything from a formal three-course dinner to sharing boards, canapes, grazing tables and dessert stations. So why do we still call it a breakfast? According to Nick from Country House Weddings, the answer goes back centuries and is tied to religion, fasting and the way weddings were once celebrated in Britain. Breaking A Very Specific Fast The word "breakfast" does not originally mean a morning meal. It simply means breaking a fast.
