Top 10 most instagrammable wedding venues in the UK

Research shows which wedding venues are the most popular in the UK based on the UK Wedding Awards 2018 shortlist and the use of Instagram hashtags - and Surrey came out on top!

The research, conducted in September 2018, used all of the shortlisted wedding venues from the annual UK Wedding Awards, the results of which were determined by an expert panel of four judges.

The research focused on specific hashtags used in relation to the location of each venue alongside generic wedding terms such as '#wedding' and '#weddingphotographer'.

Combining the total amount of hashtags used for each venue, Alta Costura - a Kent-based bridal boutique - was able to compile the rankings of the Top 10 Most Instagrammable Wedding Venues for 2018.

Here are the results:
1. Hampton Court Palace, Surrey
2. Warwick Castle, Warwickshire (west midlands)
3. Leeds Castle, Kent
4. Lusty Glaze Beach, Cornwall
5. Bodleian Libraries, Oxfordshire
6. OH ME OH MY, Merseyside
7. Culzean Castle and Country Park, South Ayrshire
8. Foxhills Club & Resort, Surrey
9. Eltham Palace, Greater London
10. Cliveden House Weddings, Buckinghamshire

These results not only show the most photogenic venues: they also highlight the most Instagrammable counties for weddings in the UK throughout 2018. With more than one entry in the Top 10, it is no surprise that Surrey is ranked as number one. There are also a couple of counties that do not feature in the Top 10 Venues list, such as Essex and Somerset, with Buckinghamshire falling just outside the Top 10 Counties at number 11. T
