Renowned Surrey venue Gorse Hill has a new offering for newlyweds-to-be looking to tie the knot in the area.

Set in the picturesque Surrey countryside, Gorse Hill is a hidden gem surrounded by mature trees, with colourful manicured gardens. The Garden Suite, which is located in the grounds, was designed to be in keeping with the older Edwardian house and is new for Spring 2019. It's a larger space for bigger weddings and has an extensive bar and lounge area adjoining the main reception room – suitable for up to 150 guests day and night.

More about the venue...

Set in the picturesque Surrey countryside, Gorse Hill – an elegant Edwardian mansion house - is a hidden gem surrounded by mature trees, with colourful manicured gardens. Guests arrive via the long driveway into the courtyard with feature fountain; to the rear of the building, guests can enjoy drinks in the evening sun on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the gardens.

Boasting stunning original features, with a fireplace in every reception room, grand pillars in the lounge and painted soft neutral colours to suit any colour scheme – the house is perfect for those looking for a luxurious big-day venue.

Ceremonies take place in The Lounge in the main house seating up to 90 for a ceremony. This is the central room which has bay windows overlooking the garden with two pillars inside helping form a natural aisle.
The Boardroom can seat a maximum of 30 for a ceremony, so much more suited to a smaller wedding group. It’s a room full of character with an ornate ceiling, a wooden floor and a feature fireplace.
The Restaurant can also seat up to 90 guests, the room is spacious and couples tie the knot in front of the fireplace.
The main reception room, The Garden Suite, can seat up to a maximum of 150 guests, so is much more suited to a large group. The room is rectangular and so gives everyone a perfect view of the couple exchanging their vows.
For the wedding breakfast, the Restaurant seats 90 people, the Boardroom, 30, and the Garden Suite up to 150 loved ones.

Once the meal is over, the dancing commences! Most commonly the DJ or band sets up in the Boardroom as it’s centrally located with the bar off to one side, and the lounge the other – there would be standing room only. The Restaurant is a larger room and can also be used, however is slightly further away from the bar. In the Garden Suite, after the meal, guests will make way to the bar and lounge area, or the terrace, while a few tables are removed to make space for the dancefloor and DJ.

The balcony of the Honeymoon Suite is a very romantic feature and gives stunning views overlooking the gardens – complimentary use when booking here. Couples also benefit from a complimentary menu tasting and two bedrooms for parents (dependent on package chosen).
