Make-up artist, Amy Lacey reveals how you can overcome acne to get a smooth look on your big day.

"Acne comes in all shapes and sizes, but there are certain techniques that will help minimize redness so you can glow on your wedding day.

"Full-coverage foundation and a beauty blender is key to creating an even look. Colour correctors are also good options. I typically use a green shade for red, inflamed blemishes but yellow works too. Peach shades tend to cover dark spots and scars very well.

"Have a good chat with your suppliers about any concerns you may have, and they'll be able to offer advice on what routine/products you should be using."

Real bride, Mairead fell in love with her wedding dress.

Mairead tells us: "I wore a gorgeous dress called Lesley by Enzoani from The Wedding Dress Shop. I instantly fell in love with the lace detail and sparkly straps. I had a bespoke veil made by the same shop. They took some spare lace from my gown and sewed it to the edge of the veil, so it matched the detailing on my dress. I accessorised with shoes from Jenny Packham, classic teardrop earrings from Liberty in Love and a silver bracelet from Monica Vinader."

When this shoot landed in our inbox here at Your Surrey Wedding, we just knew our lovely readers would adore it. We spoke to local florist Johanna Pedrick to find out more: “The shoot was inspired by my time growing up in New Zealand, enjoying delicious food and being around close family and friends. The modern couple love the idea of an intimate, romantic ceremony, celebrating with those they love and that are special to them. To make the moon gate I used peonies, romantic Antike garden roses, quicksand, sweet avalanche and Sahara sunset spray roses. The shades of pink, blush and coral together with lush foliage complemented the tranquil lake and the moon gate created a showstopping piece throughout the day.”

I love Sophie and Abel's love story.

Sophie says: "We met at work. Abel had the cheek to ask my boss to set us up on a date. My boss suggested I go for a drink with him as I was new to the role. I thought he was really fun and attractive and we've been together ever since.”

"He popped the question during a trip to South Africa. We had been on a beautiful safari and popped back to our villa to change for dinner. He took us on a different route to the restaurant, which I happily followed as I have zero sense of direction. Turns out he had planned a private dinner for us, complete with candles, flowers, champagne and incredible views of the stunning landscape. During dinner he asked me to marry him, and I cried (a lot). It was the best day of my life.”

Make-up artist, Amy Lacey reveals how you can incorporate pink into your big-day look.

"I love using this pretty shade on my brides, be it winter or summer there's an option to suit everyone. It can be incorporated in many ways from a gorgeous vibrant lip to a subtle rose on the cheeks with blush. Don't be frightened to use subtle pinks or rose golds on the eyes as this can be divine!

"There are lots of beautiful options that will complement all skin tones. One of my favourites for a classic style is Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Collection. Alternatively, for a more daring look, go for a strong wing liquid eyeliner with a hint of blush and finish with a bold lip colour such as Chatterbox, Pink Nouveau by MAC or Show Orchid from MAC."

Local photographer, Denise Winter reveals her top tips for re-booking your photographer as a result of COVID-19.

"Firstly, remember you're not alone! With peak wedding season well underway, wedding suppliers are working together to make this situation as stress-free as possible. The biggest challenge that we all face is availability. Get in touch with your photographer to check available dates and see if there are any which would also work with your wedding venue. It's good to get a couple of dates as this will give you more chance of finding something that works for everybody. If you find one you agree on, your chosen supplier will email you an amended version of your terms and conditions confirming your rescheduled date and payments."

Johanna Pedrick from Johanna Pedrick Flowers reveals how you can incorporate pastel colours into your big-day flowers.

“Opt for bridesmaids' bouquets in whites, soft pinks with pops of pale blue. Incorporate astilbes, bluebells, eryngium thistles, lisianthus, roses and snowberries. Snowberries become available in September in beautiful shades of pink. Other great options are roses and lisianthus which can be purchased in creams, yellows, peaches, pinks and reds."

Headwear designer, Inna Walker reveals how you incorporate summer into your big-day accessories.

"Summer is the perfect time of year to get married thanks to the glorious sunshine. There are so many flowers in bloom which means you have a plethora of natural and cost-effective options to choose from. Take advantage and incorporate lots of floral arrangements into your look and go big on sizes. Oversized headbands, tiaras and fascinators will look fabulous.
"Yellow has been overlooked in recent years, but nothing says summer like this glorious hue. Why not incorporate it into your dress and headwear? It goes well with whites and soft pinks, so introducing it into your accessories should be easy.
"Remember that summer means hot weather, even in Britain, so choose natural fabrics for your dress and accessories to avoid overheating and feeling uncomfortable. Light, flowing options will look fabulous against natural green backgrounds."
