Local photographer, Ruth Gibbs from Life is in the Detail has helped raise money during lockdown by taking doorstep photographs.
She tells us: "I'm a Reigate based photographer. As a result of COVID-19, I've been unable to photograph any of the families and weddings that I had booked in and I found that I was really missing all of the visual story telling and social interactions that are involved.
"I saw that photographers across the country had been embracing doorstep photography - photographing family groups on their doorsteps or front gardens, whilst using telephoto lenses to maintain social distancing. I decided to start offering these sessions in my local area, as I thought that this would give local residents something fun to do as a family and would also leave them with a visual memento to mark this extremely unique period in their lives.
"I charged £20 for each session and gave £10 from every booking to local food bank charity, Loveworks, who are doing such a wonderful job, helping so many local people during this crisis. I really enjoyed meeting so many local families and photographing them - some in their pyjamas, and others dressed up smartly, having spent most of their lockdown time in casual clothes! I raised a total of £900 for the food bank.
"I'm really pleased that weddings (in some form) are now allowed to go ahead and I am excited to resume photographing them. I'm also offering a 10 per cent discount on all full day weddings booked by the end of 2020."
