This contemporary styled shoot was designed to help inspire couples looking for a different wedding approach. Jenny from Juno The Wedding Concierge tells us more: "I took inspiration from one of 2022's biggest trends; short wedding dresses paired with long clean veils. From the florals to the tablescape and stationery, the overall vibe was fun, bright and on-trend. We had a glitter bar provided by Buttercup Bus Vintage Campers, which created some fab photos, and doubled up as a photo booth. To continue the pink theme, we included bespoke cocktails from Bitter Sweet Bars paired with the couple's initials in pink neon. "I wanted the shoot to have a modern and clean aesthetic with pops of pink as an accent colour. The overall colour scheme was monochrome, but by adding the pink it created an additional dimension to the theme. Monochrome provides a modern and clean feel and with the darker crockery it's a slightly more unusual element and a move away from using the more standard white versions."

Holly and Frankie first laid eyes on each other at university. "We met on our first night and have been inseparable ever since," says Holly. "I proposed in April 2020. It was during the first lockdown when we were living at Frankie's mums. I set up a cinema room in the dining room, complete with fairylights and her favourite snacks. After we had watched a movie together, I gave her a photo album of all our memories together. As Frankie neared the end of the album, I started unwrapping another present underneath the blanket. The final page said: 'will you marry me?'. Frankie, of course, said 'yes'. I proposed with her late grandmother's ring, which Frankie's mum had given me."

Spending by wedding guests has risen again this year as they enjoy a return to restriction-free ceremonies across the UK in 2022. New research from American Express reveals that British wedding goers will spend £883 on average to attend each wedding this year equating to £15.6 billion across the population, with guests spending more on accommodation, travel, outfits and hair, beauty & grooming compared to 2021. Of those who have or are planning to spend more on weddings this year, a third (33%) say this is because they want to celebrate with friends and family who they haven't seen as much due to the pandemic, while 27% say they are happier to spend more now that restrictions have been removed.

June is Pride month! Unbelievably, same-sex weddings are fairly new in the UK, having only become legal in 2014, so for LGBTQ+ couples planning their big day, it's about doing what feels right for you as a couple. Lisa Forde, wedding expert and founder of stationery favourites Tree of Hearts, said: "A wedding is all about celebrating your special love for one another so if anything that is deemed a 'wedding tradition' that doesn't make sense to you or feels outdated then you can simply ignore it.

Lisa and Nick met online. "After talking via messenger for a few weeks, we decided to meet in person and hit it off right away," says Lisa. "We discovered that we have a mutual love for music and similar interests. Our first date was in Wimbledon, and it went so well that we arranged to meet again that evening."
Nick proposed on Christmas morning. "He called me into the living room and got down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree," shares the bride. "It was totally unexpected, and I was so surprised that it took me a while to register what was happening and answer him. I later found out that he had spoken to my mum and let our daughters in on, and they were there on Christmas morning to witness it."

This styled shoot shows this couple's international love story that started years ago and culminated at Wotton House in Dorking. "Bella and Hugo became pen pals through their schools," says photographer Eleanor Stenner. "Bella grew up in California and Hugo, a little village on the outskirts of London. At age 15, they met in person on a high school exchange trip, and their relationship blossomed. They lost contact for a few years after that, until Hugo, now age 27, hunted Bella down. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about her and the bond they had developed during that time together. When they finally met again, even after all those years, the love had not gone away. Bella made the leap and moved to England to be with Hugo and Hugo proposed with his grandmother's ring soon after. Their wedding was an intimate destination affair with just their nearest and dearest from both sides of the Atlantic in the English countryside."
