Cate and Ben are high school sweethearts. “We met when we were 15 and 16,” says Cate. “Despite going to different universities and being separated for long periods of time, we’ve been together ever since.”
Ben popped the question in November 2018. “We were due to move out of our first home,” shares the bride. “I was very surprised and slightly concerned that there was an intruder in the house when I heard a noise as I thought Ben had gone to work. When I walked into the living room, I found Ben had decorated it and organised for a Rolls Royce to take us to a jeweller to find the perfect ring. We had a gorgeous lunch and then rang our friends and family. We booked to go away the next day, so we had a week in Santorini straight after the engagement, which was wonderful.”
