Linda and Geoffrey celebrated their big day surrounded by friends and family at Langshott Manor
Linda and Geoffrey met in a bar in Crawley. “I was waiting for a friend who hadn’t turned up and got talking to Geoffrey,” says Linda. “We soon discovered that we had both worked for the Surrey Fire Brigade, so we had lots in common. We chatted for a few hours, and before I knew it, the bar was closing! Since we hit it off, we decided to meet again.”
Geoffrey proposed on Christmas Day. “I had been at work overnight,” shares the bride. “When I got home, there was a large vase of flowers on the table, and Geoffrey asked me to sit down. I wanted a coffee first, but when I did eventually sit, he got down on one knee and popped the question. I said ‘yes’, and he jumped up and popped the confetti balloons that were hanging above my head. The confetti went everywhere, and it took days to clean up!”
