Jemima and Carl’s big day had been cancelled due to the pandemic, so to help them celebrate, a group of local suppliers worked together to re-create their big day in this stunning shoot

With intimate weddings being the only option for couples in the current situation, a team of talented suppliers worked together to create this stunning set of images, layered with thoughtful touches, greenery and natural foliage. We spoke to the celebrant, Helen Noble, to find out more. “Having the great team of suppliers that Becky from I Do Handmade put together enabled me to choreograph and direct the ceremony to ensure Pearce Wedding Photography could move around us easily from a safe distance. The shoot was held in the gardens of The Barn Hotel, the perfect location for intimate and medium-sized events. The property has many private corners and the outdoor spaces play host to a variety of perfect photo opportunities.”

The models were real couple, Jemima and Carl. “Their big day had been affected by the pandemic, and they were, like so many couples, in limbo waiting to see what they were able to do,” shares Helen. “To be able to give them some personalised ceremonial content and design touches meant they felt the suppliers were 100 per cent on board, and we created a day that felt really special and celebrated their union. We all got a bit teary with joy!”

To decorate the space, the team used a variety of rustic elements. “The copper framed backdrop from I Do Handmade, woven with faux white roses and greenery put the couple at the focal point during the outdoor ceremony,” explains Helen. “The table for two was dressed using a copper hoop and handmade Mr & Mrs blocks. We loved working with The Dandelion Art, who provided the hand-lettered banner, and Peggy & Patina for the stunning floral table display.”

“Church buildings had closed their doors during the pandemic, but it was important for Jemima and Carl to have their faith expressed,” adds Helen. “Therefore, they chose a bible passage which they read to each other as their vows, that were beautifully presented by The Dandelion Art as a keepsake. As an independent celebrant, I can invite prayer, blessings and all those present to join in if they wish to do so.”
Inside the barn, the handmade favours were provided by Bomboniere by Maria, and the two dressing tables were finished off with gold diamante trim charger plates and candle holders from Borrowed Hire. “Betty Bee Bakes created the stunning cake, and Bish Bosh Becca chose a statement pair of silver wire and pearl earrings and a matching cuff bracelet to tie the theme together,” Helen says. “The dress from Matchimony was a white strapless design with edged corded lace and a billowing chiffon skirt, and the hair accessories were hand-beaded with glass beads and pearls from Bunny Loves Evie.”

To finish the look hair and make-up artist, Gemma Louise Bridal used waves on Helen to complement Jemima's relaxed dress, so that the sense of style threaded through the look of the day. Jemima’s look was later changed into a loose up do, with neutral make-up to enhance her natural beauty. “It was a shoot of love and devotion as well as style and design,” adds Helen.
