Farnham Castle has been hosting parties and celebrations for more than 900 years and offers several flexible spaces for weddings. Surrounded by sweeping views of the Surrey Hills and impressive grounds, there are plenty of areas for guests to explore and take photographs, including the ancient Norman Keep, magnificent Gatehouse and Elizabethan courtyard. The castle’s architectural features have been maximised to create a sense of historic grandeur, while the carefully designed rooms allow couples to personalise the day to suit their style.

The multi-award-winning castle boasts bright and spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, dining, friendly hospitality, 33 bedrooms, a bridal suite and parking.

Celebrate in style
Couples can choose to have either a religious Church of England or civil ceremony at Farnham Castle. The beautiful Lantern Hall and Chapels, set within the Bishop’s Palace, provide an intimate atmosphere to exchange vows. Each space has its own character and style with a tranquil atmosphere that sets the scene for a truly wonderful service.

The 12th-century Great Hall is a grand and impressive space ideal for large celebrations with an oversized fireplace, central chandelier, wooden floors and gold-framed portraits. Dine with up to 200 guests at Farnham Castle but dance and celebrate with up to 300 in the evening.

Offering views across Farnham Town, The Library is a magnificent room for breakfast the following morning, and The Winchester Suite has a private entrance that leads to the Rose Garden.

We love...
Couples are invited to a tasting event where they can sample cocktails, wines and the chef’s choice menu. Plus receive complimentary access to The Gatehouse – a pretty three-bedroom bridal preparation cottage for the bride and her party to get ready on the morning of the wedding.
