Local cake maker, Sara Somanah, reveals her top tips for choosing an unusual wedding cake: Image 1

We spoke to Sara Somanah from Sara's House of Cupcakes and asked how you can choose a quirky and unusual cake for your wedding.

Sara said: "An essential part of your wedding is organising a beautiful cake, after all it's more than just a dessert, it's also part of your decor and the centrepieces for the cake cutting. During all the chaos of wedding planning the cake stand and display is often overlooked. You have spent time tasting and designing your dream design, you don't want to skimp on its presentation. It doesn't need to be costly to look effective. Whatever you decide, go for something fun to represent your personalities. Look for a backdrop to match your decor or even just flowers."
